Yes, you can!

Today’s video will show us how to “mint” #nonfungibletokens in ServiceNow using Hedera as the ledger.

You may have heard of #nfts!!!

NFTs are the foundation of the T̳o̳k̳e̳n̳ ̳E̳c̳o̳n̳o̳m̳y̳ and have enjoyed significant success so far.

Unlike fungible tokens, NFTs are 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 or 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 of several unique items.

Their serial number and metadata represent their uniqueness.

NFT may represent either physical items or digital items

NFT can represent any assets. Any “thing” can have an NFT as its #digitaltwin.

A 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒎 along the #supplychain, or a 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒅𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕, can be represented by an NFT.

NFTs represent an item of value, like a luxury product or an artwork.

NFT can be a digital item, like a picture or a song.

NFTs will play an essential role in sustainability☘️, representing GHG e̳m̳i̳s̳s̳i̳o̳n̳s̳ and o̳f̳f̳s̳e̳t̳s̳.

Exchanges can trade them.

Also, NFTs can represent any 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒐𝒓 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕.

They’re usually transferrable, but certain classes of tokens are non-transferable.

Under a different standard, they can be made leasable (e.g., ERC-4907).

In the video, we will mint NFT items through ServiceNow 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔.

We’re not assuming any specific standard for the metadata. The payload is stored on Hedera and is quite small though (100 bytes). We will cover NFT with a link to another system shortly (e.g., IPFS)

We will be using HashScan as the blockchain explorer and LWorks as the mirror node.
